Today, I turn 27. (And no, I'm not fishing for Happy Birthday wishes or Very Merry Unbirthday comments.)
I've written about Pop Life before (here and here), and tonight my UGF (Urban Guide Forever) Michael Kitchen is doing me the honor of throwing a little celebration at the weekly party for my birthday.
Nothing fancy, just the usual fun people/great music, only this time I'll be having a little champagne (just don't tell my editor).
Come check it out! Starts at 6 p.m. (although the cake-cutting will happen after 9) at Loft 1523 on Elizabeth Avenue.

I wouldnt say its completely down hill. The one thing I've loved about getting older is that I dont care what others think. As long as I'm having fun and not hurting anyone I dont care. Yes getting older is ugly and you find yourself hating the site of 20yr old flat stomachs but I think as you age you learn more about who the real you really is. I had more fun the first month after turning 40 then I've had in a long time.
27! Damn - you look like you're 21 at the most! No - I'm not a stalker - just a huge admirer of how hot you are - not a lot of girls with natural beauty. Again - too bad you've got that boyfriend! Happy Birthday Sarah!
Happy birthday, S!
Make every age your prime.
Happy Birthday!
You're half way to 54.... and you know what that means....
you know, worrying about your birthday is taking even more years off your life
sorry your age means you're no longer the primary target of pop culture marketers
9:50 anon -
ew, creepy much? seriously.
Hey never been here yet, does it cost anything for the party tonight? Happy Birthday! Enjoy your twenties as I did!!!
Pop Life is free! Every week.
27 ain't nothing. Try turning 40, like I did last weekend. ;-)
Happy Birthday, Sarah!
Happy Birthday! Have fun tonight!
Welcome to adulthood. Seriously, it takes a few years out of college to figure out what the world is about, maybe that what you thought you liked you really don't.
In any event, have a happy --
JAT
To 12:03 PM - why is it creepy for a person to compliment somebody else? I read what that person said - it was simply that they thought Sarah was good looking - not sure why that deserved your junior high school response of "ew"...
Back to the topic at hand - Happy Birthday Sarah!
