Darn, we thought somebody good like Taylor Swift would be playing ...

Swift should bitchslap the rap punk Westupside his stupid head on nat tv and give him a swift kick in the nutz to make amends.
Thank G_d Taylor won. Anybody sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk of Beyonce yet? Overexposure? Jeesh ...

Whiskey River? Has Willie Nelson sued the owner for plagerizing his famous song about drunks yet?

I can't wait until the epicentre falls into foreclosure hopefully it will make the bars like this go out of business and they can do something better with the site.

Let's see... The AA5 shows were free; these are $15-25. The AA5 shows were outside; these are in a smoky bar. The AA5 shows featured two bands; these apparently have one. The AA5 shows featured music people know; these don't.

Yeah, that's a "continuation of the tradition."

FAIL.

i think this place needs to supposrt our local bands.
pass on gavin degraw and charging $25 for tickets.
have some GOOD, quality local bands in there and charge $7 and that will make for a better night, better business, better everything!

I agree with the post that suggested local bands. I suppose the argument could be made that the lesser name bands might not pull the large crowds, but let's be honest with ourselves, ok. This is a very, very weak lineup. Success for this sort of activity can had by putting more thought into the entertainment.

For those down a few posts that say whisky should bring in local bands instead and not charge a ticket price, get out a little more thats every thursday I'm in a local band that plays there every other month!

GAH... Charlotte really sucks.

you people are amazing...

Blake Shelton has headlined his own tour in 10-15k person venues... This year he toured with George Strait in front of 20-25K every night... He's had 10 Top 10 songs...

Gavin Degraw must be decent, he pulled over 10K at Speed Street this year, to the point where they had to turn people away..

Phil Vasser is one of the best entertainers in country music and easily could fill up venues like the Fillmore or Uptown Amp...

I agree Rehab isnt my thing and the Carter Twins/Jessie James are both up and coming country acts...

The first three are good bands with a lot of recognizable songs.. It's amazing that you people prefer cover bands over actual national touring acts.... sheltered hillbillies

To the people complaining about the concerts not being free: note the part about proceeds going to charity.

Wow. Nice comments Charlotte. Interesting perspective on those that spend time here more than anything else...
