Suite is gearing up for its one-year anniversary bash on Friday and putting the final touches on a three-month remodeling job to freshen up the EpiCentre hotspot.
Among the changes, staff has:
- Added new furniture inside and out.
- Installed new carpet and a fresh coat of paint.
- Added landscaping to the patio.
- Applied a faux stain to the patio, making the concrete appear more like wood.
- Added a woven metal wall treatment to the Hardwood Suite.
- Resurfaced the main bar and installed a lucite lighting scheme.
The renovations are to ensure that the club "stays fresh and lives up to all the things people have come to expect," says Thom Perez of Full House Productions. "We're never going to let it get stale. You won't come here five or six years down the road and expect to see the same thing. It's a place that needs to constantly evolve and stay on the cutting edge."
MTV personality Brody Jenner was set to host Friday's party, but due to a filming conflict with "The Hills," he had to cancel this week. (Apparently, the cast is being sent on a trip somewhere. More proof that the reality show isn't, well, real.)
But Perez says the party was never really about Jenner: "It's about unveiling the renovations and putting on a huge great party and celebrating our first year."
The party starts at 9 p.m. Get there early to avoid long lines. Advance tickets are available at the club.

this dbag is the best person they could get. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
This place sucks; the bouncers there apparently don't know the difference between people who know fashion and those who don't. They would rather let the guy in with a collared shirt and khakis then someone who is well dressed and is wearing pfflyers, converse, or some other type of stylish shoe....it just may not be the standard brown or black...
The place looks like a bad hotel lobby.
Not sure why the same slutty women and cologne soaked men line up around the corner to listen to the same horrible DJ music that appears at every other club in Charlotte?
And I don't think people will miss Brody Jenner, whoever he is. Seriously, was their backup a Kardashian? Why not get an actual celebrity instead of some wannabe from a scripted reality show?
I'm glad Suite is sucessful people like it. At least Epicenter isn't in the middle of Ballenhell, SC, surrounded by a sprawling sea of asphalt parking lots. Give me NoDa or Plaza-Midwood over Epicenter any day, though.
I agree with the person who commented about fashion. I mean, this is Charlotte. What does this place know about fashion anyways?
suite is ok but the whole Epicentre thing is playing out the same way Buckhead in atlanta played out. Fun at first but Then the fights and shootings occurred. Metal detectors and more police but that still didnt help. One event and Epicentre will turn for the worse. I hope the police prevent it but there is only so much they can do.
There goes my weekend :-/
Good place for wannabes.
gay bar. for not real charlotteans.
$10 to park and another $10 for cover. Your out $20 before you even walk into that crap. No thanks.
Suite may be a pain to get in but come on it has the hottest girls in Charlotte! Plus it's roof top patio is awesome and the music is always fun. I wish everyone would stop hating, it's fun to get dressed up and go to a rockin club on Sat. night. Suite in Summer is a blast!! There party will prob be even better without Brody!
Thats sucks Brody isn't coming, NOT!! Suite's 1yr is going to be insane with or without him!!
Anonymous 10:51 and 10:54, please try a little harder to disguise the fact that either you work for or own Suite.
Suite's new look is sick!! It's my favorite place in Charlotte. The new patio is cool and the new colors look way better. The bar is crazy now the whole thing changes colors. The new look really sent a new vibe though the place.
"Suite's new look is sick!! "
Your a tool
Wow, don't know why you're all so down on this place. My girlfriends and I have been there a few times and always had fun. It's cool to sit outside on the patio and listen to good music.
Suite rocks! Me and my girls go there all the time and have a blast!! I know the girls there are hot but so are the guys. The guys are really nice there too they always offer to buy you drinks to try to impress you.
Shite is awesome. It's so worth waiting in line and paying $10.

Then they guys there are idiots.

i bet is is your kind of place. can't make this stuff up
Okay, I'm 42 and Suite is a bit young for me. I went once and I have to say it's pretty damn nice for Charlotte. I am glad to see that the city is evolving from Mayberry into a real mid sized city. Obviously there are plenty of people who like it. You don't do a large overhaul to a place only one year out if you aren't making any money. They obviously are.
Now, about the spelling and sentence structure of some of these posts ...............
Wow... HATERS!! I visited from New york with friends and we had a great time. Some advice for all of you, if you don´t like the place don´t go, if you can´t get in, it´s probably because they don´t want YOU in there. ¨$10 for parking and $10 for cover¨, If you´re complaining about $20, you´re probably the cheap loser standing by the bar nursing your beer all night long!! There´s good music, hot girls and a great crowd... if you didn´t have fun it´s probably because the people you went with are losers, get some new friends!!
C Harris, I want to see who you can get to attend any of your events, talking all big on the internet... Complaining about Brody jenner or kardashian!! tell me who you can get if you´re so connected...
I could get together a good group of friends. I am not “connected” nor do I wish to be connected if it means hanging around a bunch of fake dbags. Does anybody else think of the guys form Night at the Roxbury when you read 12:56’s post. Now go back to watching MTV and getting that gel just right in your hair you tool.
I believe Suite serves the what-would-be pretentious Bar Charlotte crowd. With the exception of unimaginative DJ's, few sitting areas, and overall lax dress code, one should probably go to Bar Charlotte. You'll save less on cover and beverage consumption, although the Suite rarely disappoints.
The Suite could be Charlotte's top club spot if: 1. the DJ premixed his sets with new mixes of club favorites and new selections, as opposed to wingin' it on his Mac Book throughout the night, or he could simply take a refresher class on mixing; 2. the VIP Section could resemble something other than Living Room Section in IKEA. Remember, people. VIP should not be near "general pop", hence the name; and finally. If you are going to play a set of music which would deem the evening uneventful, please include more seating areas without charge, as most people will not be on the dance floor.
