New restaurant opens in EpiCentre

Add Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar to the growing list of steakhouses in the Charlotte region.

The upscale restaurant opened on Friday in the EpiCentre.

In addition to its reputation for serving great steak, the Fleming's brand also is known for its carefully picked wine list, called the Fleming's 100.

I'll be checking it out tonight and meeting with the restaurant chain's director of wine.

Look for a full review in Friday's CLT.

Super! Another steakhouse! IN CHARLOTTE!

Hope they have an Early Bird -- something tells me banker expense accounts might be a little pinched going forward.

Christ, this is SO what we need. How about something unique with quality organic veggies and a little less flesh (of the animal or human variety)?

I was at Fleming's last night for a wonderful experience. This is not like any other steakhouse in Charlotte. The food was awesome. The appetizers and sides were totally different and the entrees were outstanding and there's lots of non-beef options. And the decor is beautiful. Fleming's is a great addition to Uptown's offerings.

Heh, that last comment reads like a press release. I wonder who signs their paycheck...

I love Flemings- I've been there twice already. And no, I don't work there. :) The service is great and the seafood tower is to die for. Plus, its great locale in the EpiCenter means I can meet my friends at Whisky, BlackFinn or wherever in the Epi they might be. I can't wait until the Epi is done; and I'm glad Fleming's is a part of it!
